First of all, welcome to your new address! And so Craig, this is for you:
"...there isn't an ocean too deep-- a mountain so high it will keep-- Keep me awaaaaay. Away from my love!
I'll follow, I'll follow, I'll follow! From now until forever, forever, forever! He'll always be my true love, my true love, my true love! From now until forever...."
Uh, I guess you get the picture.
But on the other hand, can I speak my mind for just a moment? I slightly peeved, really. I'm peeved at all the people who drop in, and even follow, but never leave comments!
Don't you guys get it? Part of following a blog is the interaction of the writer and the readers. Without that, it's really nothing more than just pointless effort. Grafitti, or some sort of boring corporate newsletter.
Hasn't anyone seen the movie Julie & Julia? Where would Julie be without the support of her readers?
What we're doing here as followers or visitors of a blog, is all about sharing, support, and concern. It's about humor and sadness, nostalgia and dreams. Hope of what the future can be. Yet day after day, you look at these posts, and seemingly--you have no reaction to them at all. I don't get that. Doesn't any of this stuff spark any kind of reaction?
I can appreciate all the time and work it takes to create anything, be it a piece of writing, a recipe, a story, or a scrap book. But when someone goes through all the bother of creating something to share with you, I think it's only common courtesy to partake, respond, or at least comment.
There. I've said my peice. And thank you Craig for one of the best gay blogs I've come across in a long time.
OK--I'll bite on this...
